2010 - What's in store?

HAPPY NEW YEAR! (A little late, I know)

Not a whole bunch has happened in the last couple months, photography wise. However, I'm hoping that 2010 has a lot in store for me in various aspects of my life.

So far, I've been approached by a stylist, Erin Young, from Patent Magazine about being a photographer for their online magazine. I never pass any opportunity to further build my portfolio and gain experience, so I said of course. She asked me to forward her my photography portfolio for the head stylist, Heidi Ondrusek, to review. When I followed up with Erin a couple days later, she said that Heidi loved loved my stuff :) She also mentioned that beginning in February, Patent will be doing two shoots per month and that once they start booking people, she'll be in touch.

Patent has been working for the re-launch of their online magazine in April and anything I can do to contribute would be amazing. I've been following Patent's blog for a while now and wen to the online magazine often as well. So, as you can probably imagine, I'm pretty excited about this opportunity.

In other news, I'm going to be starting to build make shift studio equipment, so we shall see how that turns out for me.

My website team and I are continuing to work on my site starting tonight. I'm looking at a mid-year launch (hopefully). Depending on a variety of things, I want to have a launch event for my website.

Come on, 2010 - show me the goods!
